Veteran actor, Sanjay Khan's wife, Zarine Khan (Zarine Katrak) passed away at the age of 81 due to age-related ailments. She breathed her last at her residence in Mumbai. For those who don't know, Zarine Khan was a famous name in Bollywood, but had a brief stint after appearing in Tere Ghar Ke Saamne and Ek Phool Do Mali.
Zarine Khan is survived by her husband, Sanjay Khan, and her four children — Sussanne Khan, Simone Arora, Farah Ali Khan, and Zayed Khan. During her last rites, which were held as per Hindu customs, her children broke down as they mourned their mother's death.
Zayed, who was sitting right beside his mother's body, was sobbing with folded hands. Sussanne also looked heartbroken. In the same video, the four siblings were hugging each other as they were in disbelief at their mother's death. On the other hand, Sanjay Khan was standing with folded hands.
Several fans were left surprised as the Khan family chose to bid goodbye to their mother as per Hindu customs and not Muslim ones. Netizens raised their doubts in the comment section. For the unversed, Zarine first met Sanjay when she was 14 years old through his mother, Bibi Fatima Begum Khan. It was in 1966 when they started dating and got married. Soon, they got blessed with four children — Sussanne Khan, Simone Khan, Farah Ali Khan and Zayed Khan.
