India (IND) vs Australia (AUS), Highlights 5th T20I: Well, the rain gods have spoken, and the fifth T20I between India and Australia has been abandoned due to rain. Not ideal circumstances here but India go on to win the series 2-1.

India vs Australia 5th T20I, Highlights: India clinched the five-match T20I series 2-1, as the fifth and final match of the series finished in a no-result due to rain at The Gabba in Brisbane. Only 4.5 overs could be played, during which India openers Abhishek Sharma and Shubman Gill smashed a fifty-run partnership. However, lightning, and then rain, led to play being stopped for over two hours, after which the match was called off.
Abhishek was dropped twice by Australia, and registered the world record of becoming the fastest batter to reach 1,000 T20I runs in terms of balls faced. Gill also showed glimpses of his skill, slamming four boundaries in a single over. India captain Suryakumar Yadav and head coach Gautam Gambhir have now won five consecutive bilateral T20I series.
That's a wrap for our coverage of the fifth T20I between India and Australia. After losing the ODI series, the men in blue get one back in the T20Is. India and Australia both return to action in red-ball cricket next. India take on reigning WTC champions South Africa from November 14, while Australia face off against England in the Ashes on home soil.
Suryakumar Yadav addresses the selection dilemmas that Team India face ahead of the T20 World Cup on home soil, calling it a "good" headache to have. The battle for the wicket-keeper batter spot has sprung wide open in this series, with Jitesh Sharma replacing Sanju Samson mid-series.
Suryakumar Yadav and Gautam Gambhir's imperious T20I record continues. Five bilateral series wins in a row, and the Asia Cup as well in between. India were down 0-1 after the first two games, but roared back to take the series 2-1.
No doubt that India look the favourites to win the T20 World Cup 2026 on home soil.
